FROM small hall shows to Féile headliner, Padraig McCrory never expected to hit such heights.

He was 28 when he made his professional debut back in 2017, an age some boxers start considering retirement at.

The Belfast super-middleweight could have been forgiven for quitting the sport after an amateur career that was punctuated by some success - notably a 2014 Ulster title - and plenty of disappointment, including missing out on two Commonwealth Games.

But McCrory decided to roll the dice in the pro game, and it has paid off. Last year he won the IBO World light-heavyweight title in Frankfurt, and tonight he will headline the Feile fight night at Falls Park.
