Leo sticks his neck out on election plans

TAOISEACH Leo Varadkar has insisted he has "at least one more election" in him as he said there are no plans to go to the country early.

Voters must have their say by March 2025 at the latest but there is growing speculation an election could be called before that.

Many Fine Gael insiders have told the Irish Mirror they believe a General Election will be held in November 2024 shortly after the coalition's final Budget.

Some have predicted the current Fianna Fail/Fine Gael/ Green Party coalition could do better if the election was held straight after a generous spending review.
