Lockdowns were too much for tragic Ryan, 14, says his devastated mum

THE heartbroken mother of a boy who took his life has blamed Covid lockdowns for destroying children's lives and urged parents not to take time with their kids for granted.

Ryan Whelan Griffin, 14, died at his home in Duleek, Co Meath, on February 2, 2022, leaving his family devastated.

His parents Rebecca and Shane and younger brother Dylan are desperately searching for answers over his death.

Rebecca has been fundraising to thank Pieta House and also sent her appreciation to local people who left food and cards at their door.

As Rebecca prepares to undertake an abseil for the charity tomorrow, she urged parents to listen to their kids.
