SHOCKING footage has emerged of the moment a young man appears to have his head stomped on in the latest incident of violence in the capital.

The video, which circulated on social media yesterday, emerged after the man, who is in his 20s, was rushed to Beaumont Hospital in a critical condition having been viciously assaulted on South Anne Street in the early hours of the morning.

The footage appears to show the man ending up on the ground, where individuals appear to stamp on his head before leaving him unconscious in the street.
