BY now it's likely Derry GAA chiefs will have already sounded out Malachy O'Rourke's interest in their vacant senior manager post.
It's a huge appointment for Derry one of the biggest in their history. If O'Rourke hasn't got the call, it will happen soon. If he's not interested, a successor to Ciaran Meenagh (inset) is unclear.
Oak Leaf officials ruled out a return for Rory Gallagher after the Ulster final, but this hasn't stopped him being linked with the job in places.
His fellow Fermanagh man O'Rourke is believed to be the front runner though.
His Glen side are back to back Derry champions and current Ulster title holders.
They have serious designs on retaining both cups and perhaps making up for their contentious All-Ireland club final defeat by Kilmacud Crokes earlier this year.
Derry could sit and wait on Glen, but this would bring uncertainty.
