RTE has confirmed Ryan Tubridy will still be paid while off air but will only release how much he is receiving "in due course".
The State broadcaster is at the centre of a payments scandal after it was discovered Tubridy received €345,000 in extra undeclared payments over a five-year period.
Several major investigations are underway at RTE, while at this morning's Cabinet meeting, the Government is set to green light auditors to go through the station's finances.
The move could mean it might be months before the probes are complete.
RTE has formally confirmed to the Irish Mirror Tubridy will still be paid while off air but declined to say how much.
