RUSSIAN mercenary boss Yevgeny Prigozhin says his fighters are running out of ammunition and will pull out of a major battle zone.
The furious Wagner Group chief branded Moscow defence chiefs scum” as he paraded dead bodies.
He vowed to withdraw from the key town of Bakhmut, where thousands have died in the conflict’s bloodiest battles.
He hoped to capture Bakhmut in the east by May 9, a key Russian Second World War commemoration date, but said he was now retreating.
It could be a major blow to Vladimir Putin's preparations against a long-awaited Ukrainian counter offensive.
