The party said the Government must act now, not in the Budget in October, to help reduce escalating bills ahead of the return to classes.
It wants back to school allowances to be increased, voluntary contributions to be banned, school transport to get more subsidies and free schoolbooks for all.
Education spokesman, Donnchadh O Laoghaire, said that one of the greatest worries for parents this year is that voluntary contributions could skyrocket because of rising energy prices.
