Charges firms less than domestic users

ELECTRIC Ireland has been accused of shafting domestic customers in favour of business users after it announced tariff reductions for commercial accounts only.

Labour's finance spokesman and TD for Louth Ged Nash said the news would "stick in the craw" for families struggling to pay their bills.

The energy firm will be reducing prices by 10% for small and medium enterprises and gas prices by 15%.
