Late strike from loan star McAtee edges Blades closer to top flight

JAMES McATEE struck just when Sheffield United needed it most with a superb 77th–minute winner which edged them ever closer to the Premier League. 

The on-loan Manchester City midfielder is enjoying an outstanding run of form and, after coming off the bench at half-time, he showed his quality once again with a classy strike.

Iliman Ndiaye worked the ball to the 20-year-old and the man nicknamed the Salford Silva fired low and hard past Max O’Leary into the far corner.

McAtee has now scored four goals in his last six games for second-placed Blades and his latest effort had jubilant United fans singing about promotion. With good reason.
