A TEENAGER remained in custody yesterday on suspicion of the murder Aaron Keating.
Last night a candlelit vigil was held to remember the “charismatic man who was very outgoing and well liked”.
Mr Keating, who was in his 40s, died after he was allegedly stabbed twice on main street in Ongar, West Dublin, on Tuesday evening.
Gardai believe a verbal row broke out between the deceased and a group of young men.
As the altercation escalated, a knife was allegedly pulled and Mr Keating was stabbed.
The Irish Mirror has learned a 17-yearold male suspect arrested yesterday morning handed himself into a Garda station in the company of an older relative. It is understood he is not from the Ongar area.
Yesterday, officers continued to search the area and conducted door-to-door inquiries. They are also examining footage of the incident.
