DONALD Trump appeared in court yesterday to face his most serious criminal charges yet, with 35 years the maximum possible jail term.
The Republican former president flew to Washington DC after being indicted with conspiring to defraud the United States over his alleged attempt to overturn the 2020 election.
As the 77-year-old tycoon left his Bedminster golf course in New Jersey to head to court, he attacked Joe Biden, who beat him to the White House.
He ranted to fans on his Truth social media site: “I’m being arrested for you.
“Biden and his family steal Millions and Millions of Dollars, including BRIBES from foreign countries, and I’m headed to DC to be ARRESTED for protesting a CROOKED ELECTION. UNFAIR VENUE, UNFAIR JUDGE. We are a Nation in Decline. MAGA!!!’”
