AN ABUSE survivor last night slammed the jail term given to Paul Moody and described it as “inadequate”.

Leona O’Callaghan, who was groomed and raped from the age of 12, said he should have been handed a longer custodial sentence than three years and three months.

Mum-of-three Leona, who waived her right to anonymity in 2018 so her rapist could be named at sentencing, said: “The damage caused by his abuse far outweighs the sentence.

“A common thread for men like Paul Moody is that they choose women that are vulnerable. It’s clear that the survivor in this was diagnosed with cancer and undergoing treatment.
