IRISH FANS' FURY AT MATCH QUEUE CHAOS

THE FAI said it will review issues that left some Ireland supporters stranded outside the stadium in Athens for Friday night's Euro 2024 qualifier.

Scores of frustrated fans vented their fury on social media as they missed the start of the game which saw the Boys in Green suffer a 2-1 defeat to Greece.

Republic of Ireland supporters posting on Twitter claimed they were locked outside the OPAP Arena as one of the doors reportedly could not be opened.

Some were caught up in chaotic scenes as long queues developed, with a limited number of turnstiles open for visiting fans.
