SCISSOR Sister Charlotte Mulhall's hopes of being released from prison before the end of the year have suffered a setback.
The convicted killer had expected to walk free from Limerick Prison this year after serving 16 years for murdering Swaleh Noor - but her release is unlikely before 2024.
Despite being granted day release to visit family and go shopping it appears the 38-year-old lifer's bid for freedom is being delayed by the Department of Justice.
A source told the Sunday Mirror: "There was a lot of talk that she would be released over the coming months but for some reason it appears to be going nowhere.
"Her application, which was passed on by the parole board to the Minister for Justice, is still pending.
