There's a court case...but we are coming to terms with Christy loss

ASLAN guitarist Rodney O'Brien is suing the band and claiming damages for "summary dismissal".

The civil case against the remaining members of the band and the estate of the late Christy Dignam is due before the High Court on July 24.

Bassist and singer Mr O'Brien, who has not performed with Aslan for several years, claims he remains a member of the band and asserts he has "full proprietary rights".

He is also claiming damages alleging breach of contract, misrepresentation, negligence and defamation.

Aslan manager Denise McCormack confirmed there was a case before the courts and said band members were still reeling from the death of its lead singer.
