CLAUDIA Silcock is used to people staring at her.
That's because the 20-year-old is obsessed with the 1950s and almost exclusively dresses in eye-catching vintage clothes from the era.
She began to find herself drawn towards vintage fashion aged 18 and soon it developed into a passion. The content creator was drawn to vintage shops and scoured eBay, Facebook Marketplace and Depop for 50s clothing.
She now has a 130-strong collection of outfits as well as mountains of vintage jewellery, shoes, magazines, bags, purses and even a 1950s record player. Claudia reckons her vast collection of vintage items has a total cost of £3,000 and she plans to grow it further once she has got a larger wardrobe in her home.
She said she gets funny looks from teenagers if she ever goes into modern bars but pensioners love to stop her for a nostalgic chat in M&S.
Claudia said: "I remember I went out in full vintage in a bar in Manchester full of 18 and 19-year-olds. I got a few stares. But when you think about what the average person looks like in a club, then you look at me, it's very different. But it's very hard to go to a club when you only listen to 1950s and 60s music anyway.
