Vegan restaurant says no choice but to add meat & dairy to menu

'Just trying to make ends meat'

A VEGAN restaurant says it has made the “difficult yet necessary decision” to start serving meat in order to stay open.

Nomas Gastrobar said that in light of the “profound challenges” the business had faced they would begin serving high-quality and responsibly sourced meat and dairy.

The restaurant was opened by Adonis Norouznia and his wife three years ago.

Originally from Greece, the couple moved to the UK in 2018.

The owners said that because of its plant-based menu it sometimes only attracts a small number of customers, which has made it difficult for the business to thrive.

A Facebook post announcing the move attracted hundreds of comments. One asked: “Is there no other way?”
