GREATER Manchester has been awarded nearly £13m of government funding to tackle rough sleeping.

£13m boost to help rough sleepers off streets

Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, and Tameside will get £12.7m towards accommodation and support services for up to 94 people.

Manchester council will receive £5.2m of the funding from the government's Single Homelessness Accommodation Programme. Working with organizations, other this will help house 42 people in three supported housing schemes.

Meanwhile, Oldham, Rochdale, and Tameside councils 5 Number c sleeping Manche last c will each receive around £2.1m, £4m and £1.5m respectively.
