Unison announced that members will strike again next month.
It comes after the biggest ambulance service strike in 30 years hit England and Wales, with paramedics, call-handlers, technicians and other North West Ambulance Service staff who cover Greater Manchester among those going on strike.
Members of three unions – the GMB, Unite and Unison – were involved on Wednesday which collectively represented around 25,000 ambulance service workers.
GMB union members are to stage a further strike at nine trusts on December 28 following a vote to strike in a dispute over the government’s 4 per cent pay award.
Unison members have now announced they are to stage two fresh strikes in the dispute over pay and staffing – on January 11 and 23.
