THE mother of a victim of predatory former Greater Manchester Police constable Adnan Ali has hit out at Appeal Court judges who have cut his prison sentence by two years.
This week, judges in London reduced his jail sentence from five years to three years. Ali's appeal against his conviction, however, was dismissed.
Ali, 37, formerly of Old Trafford, was handed a total jail term of five years after being convicted of five sex assaults on teenagers he was training and 15 counts of misconduct in a public office.
The charges related to incidents, between 2015 and 2018, involving youngsters enrolled on Greater Manchester Police's Volunteer Police Cadet Scheme.
