The latest season, filmed and set in Greater Manchester, is made up of eight hour-long episodes which will premiere on Tuesday, September 10 at 9pm on BBC One. All episodes will also be available to stream on BBC iPlayer from 6am that day.
The first images of Salfordborn Jason's character Mr Savage have now been unveiled, along with a description of his on-screen persona.
