Barbara, 85, will dig deep on 10k run for charity appeal

Barbara Thackray has spent more than 30 years fundraising to raise vital cash for St Ann's Hospice in Stockport.

Following the death of her sister Audrey in 1988, Barbara has raised more than £26,000 for the hospice.

Her latest fundraising is in support of the Build It Together Appeal to raise £2 million to build a new hospice next door to the current Heald Green site.

Barbara will be running a 10k in Altrincham on Sunday, September 1.

The new building will continue to provide vital care, just like the current 150-year-old site, where Audrey was a patient.
