THE mum of an 'inspirational' young boy who died after battling a brain tumour has paid a moving tribute to their 'angel' and said his legacy will live on.

Edward Waring, from Bolton, known as Super Ted to his family, was first diagnosed with a tumour when he was just seven months old when he started being sick and his mum Leanne noticed a slight eye movement.

From that point, he was in and out of hospital during years of treatment, including several cycles of chemotherapy and a number of operations.

In August last year, a decision was made for Ted to have an operation in order to 'debulk' his tumour.

On August 26, he underwent surgery at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, however an inquest into his death this week heard there were 'complications.

Ted remained in hospital until his death from a chest infection on March 8 this year, which a coroner said was contributed to by the 'recognised complications' from the 'necessary' surgery.
