AN inquest has opened into the death of a former rugby league star who passed away while on holiday in Italy.
Ricky Bibey, who used to played for Wigan Warriors, was found lying on the floor of his hotel room.
He had been holidaying with his partner in Florence at the time of his death, on July 16.
A brief hearing at Rochdale Coroners' Court on Wednesday outlined how Mr Bibey, 40, was found unresponsive in a room at the Hotel Continentale in the early hours.
