A NEWLY-qualified NHS doctor has been suspended after she was caught offering online remedies over Instagram, which she claimed would protect patients during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Dr Nimra Arshad, 29, branded herself as 'Dr Drips' offering IV infusions which she bragged would help treat various problems and diseases including anaemia, Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's.
At a time when the UK was in lockdown, Dr Arshad claimed her IV treatments would strengthen the immune system, would be a way of losing weight, boost athletic performance, and help with fatigue.
One social media post read: "We cover all medical conditions. We can tailor ake the IV drips to help with any medical conditions that you guys are suffering from. Absorption is 90 per cent so you are guaranteed to see results within two to three days."
Another post included a photograph of a patient who had an IV drip in their arm with the caption: "Vitamin C to boost your immune system is great for the elderly! Helps protect them from coronavirus! With cases increasing, we urge everyone to calm down and take some Vitamin C. You can build up your immunity with our Vitamin C IV drip."
