SHOPPERS arrived at the Trafford Centre early yesterday to bag a bargain in the Boxing Day sales.
While doors officially opened at 8am for most of the shops, some shoppers were allowed into units - including Boots - to browse from 7.30am.
Offering 50 per cent off, one of the most popular sales was at Lush. Some arrived from 6am to secure their place in the queue and throughout the day a steady stream of shoppers flooded into the store.
Outside Selfridges, which opened a little later at 9am, a long queue had gradually formed, stretching all the way down to JD Sports on the ground floor. Outside here, we ran into Leon, who was buzzing over his purchases.
With a number of bags slung over his shoulder he showed us his new tracksuit from JD, plus a pair of Fila trainers and a pair of Champion trainers from Foot Asylum. "The thing about me is I love shopping on Boxing Day," he beamed.
