TRIBUTES have been paid to a teenage boy who died after being knocked down by a car as he and his friends returned from a meal out.
Ethan Allen, 15, died in hospital on Thursday, two days after being hit by a car on Rochdale Road in Oldham.
It’s understood Ethan, a pupil at Oasis Academy Leesbrook in Oldham, had been out with friends and was crossing the street with his 14-year-old girlfriend Olivia when he was hit by a black Seat Ibiza near the junction with King Street at around 8pm.
A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and later released on bail. Olivia escaped injury.
