Gallagher brothers open Oasis bar

WHEN Mark and Paul Gallagher heard the news that Oasis were reuniting after 15 years, they could barely believe their luck.

Gallagher brothers open Oasis bar

As the owners of Definitely Maybe, the UK’s only Oasis-themed bar, it was the moment they had dreamed about.

After opening the live music venue and bar in their hometown of Bolton in February 2020, they soon built up a loyal following of fans of the legendary Mancunian band. A move to a larger venue followed but amid their success, an idea kept nagging away at them.

“We get told all the time ‘this place should be in Manchester’,” said Paul. “We always wanted to move to Manchester. It made sense to do so. We were just waiting for the right venue to come along.”

As Oasis-mania swept the UK following the announcement that Liam and Noel Gallagher had finally buried the hatchet back in August, the Bolton Gallagher brothers decided it was time to take the plunge. When a space in the heart of the Northern Quarter became available, they jumped at the opportunity to open a second location. The site, in the corner of the iconic Afflecks building, had been empty since Black Dog Ballroom shut on Church Street at the beginning of the year.
