A GAY Village bar has had its licence to operate revoked following an immigration raid, which a council meeting heard saw five people arrested and its owner fined £90,000.
Napoleons, on Bloom Street, was visited by immigration officers on February 29 'for compliance, according to Pc Alan Isherwood, speaking at a town hall licensing review hearing yesterday.
He told councillors police found four people working who only had 'visitor visas.
Another had an unresolved asylum claim, the Home Office's Azima Sultana told the hearing.
