Girl X gave evidence in her defence for the first time at the end of the second week of the trial at Manchester Crown Court.
She admitted being interested in 'murder and torture, but said she never had any intention of carrying it out in real life.
Brianna, 16, a transgender girl, died after being stabbed 28 times in a park near Warrington earlier this year, jurors have heard.
She was found by dog walkers in Linear Park in Culcheth at around 3pm on Saturday, February 11. She had been stabbed in the head, neck, back and chest.
The two defendants, both aged 16, deny murder.
Girl X, from Culcheth, and Boy Y, from Leigh, cannot be named for legal reasons.
Yesterday, Girl X gave in evidence court behind a screen. The judge, Mrs Justice Yip, told jurors that the decision had been made in order to reduce distractions for the defendant, in order to allow her to 'give her best evidence!
Under questioning from her barrister Richard Pratt KC, she admitted downloading an internet browser which enabled her to access the 'dark web.
