Despite fans objecting to the length of time Onana would take to restart the game and Guardiola and the players making that point to the officials, referee Andy Madley never saw fit to book the United stopper over the course of the game. There were three minutes added on at the end of the first half and eight at the end of the season.
Guardiola did not know what had gone on with Onana and if there was an injury, but did hint at frustration that teams were not often punished for deliberately wasting time.
