HOUSE prices have been on the rise across the country in recent months, with the average UK home now costing £291,030, according to Halifax' latest house price index.
But for house hunters who want to find a home at a much cheaper price, there are certain areas where you should consider looking.
Analysis of the latest Land Registry data, retrieved by the M.E.N, has now revealed the top 10 cheapest areas in Greater Manchester to buy a home at the moment.

Bardsley in Oldham is the cheapest area to buy a home in Greater Manchester at the moment. The average property price here is currently £144,710, which has decreased by 4.7 per cent from £151,875 last year.
