FOOTAGE has showed the moment a man accused of murdering his ex partner's teenage son was found on a dinghy in the English Channel.
Suleman Altaf is on trial accused of stabbing the 15-year-old son of his estranged partner to death before allegedly trying to cross the English Channel in the small boat.
Jurors previously heard that Altaf was tracked down on the waters by a lifeboat crew responding to reports of a 'drifting dinghy' who 'persuaded' him after more than an hour to come on board.
The court heard that Altaf told the RNLI crew that he intended to sail to France then travel on to Portugal.
Footage, which has been played to the jury in court, has showed the moment the RNLI spotted the dinghy in the English Channel.
