THE redevelopment of Manchester Jewish Museum has been named one of the best 30 buildings in the UK at a prestigious architecture awards.
The new museum, which opened in 2021, is clad in perforated Corten steel and comprises a gallery space, archive, learning space, and visitor amenities adjoining a fully renovated Grade II*listed former synagogue.
It has made the list announced annually by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). The RIBA awards are considered one of the most prestigious in recognising the best new buildings across the country.
