Walker will miss England's friendly with Belgium after limping off against Brazil on Saturday. He called the injury 'frustrating, but hoped the diagnosis wasn't too bad, and will be watching tonight's game from home as City team-mate Rico Lewis was called up in his place.
The City captain will now undergo treatment to determine whether he can be fit to face Arsenal on Sunday in a title-defining clash.
He joins Ederson, Kevin De Bruyne and Jack Grealish in the treatment room.
Ederson and De Bruyne withdrew from their international duties with minor injuries, and the hope is that they will be fit to face Arsenal although there are no guarantees.
Ederson has a knock from the draw at Liverpool, while De Bruyne's problem is a minor groin issue.
