SALE KEEP IT IN THE FAMILY

Sam, 29 and Joe, 22, played 20 minutes together last September in the Premiership Cup when Joe came off the bench vs Leicester, but the two will feature in the centres from the start as the Sharks continue their strong family tradition.

Another Sharks family name features in the backline in Luke James, whose brother, Sharks legend Sam, is currently scoring tries for Racing 92.

Alongside the returning Gus Warr and cup captain Tom Curtis, he's a more experienced head in an overall youthful side, exciting youngsters Alex Wills and Obi Ene retaining their spots on the wings.

In the pack, there's only one change as Rouban Birch comes in at number eight as one of six starters facing a former dual registration club in Caldy.

The squad was named by senior academy coach Gareth Harris, who is taking lead on Sale's Premiership Cup block and he's joined in the dugout by senior squad defence coach, Byron McGuigan.
