A BELOVED mother who struggled with bloating was told her symptoms came from irritable bowel syndrome died just three weeks after finally being diagnosed with ovarian cancer too late.

Cheryl Dublin and former United star Dion are appealing to people from across the northwest to take just three minutes out of their day to carry out a simple action that could potentially save their life.

The pair sadly know all too well the devastating impact the disease can have on families.

Cheryl said: “My mum struggled with a bloated tummy and she went backwards and forwards to the doctors for at least 18 months. They said it was irritable bowel syndrome, but she kept saying to us ‘there’s something really wrong with me’.

“When she went back to the GP, she was extremely bloated by that time and was experiencing other symptoms,” continued Anne. “She was sent for a scan and was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.”

Unfortunately, they said it was too advanced and nothing could be done. She sadly died just over three weeks later.”
