A THERAPY dog who has helped to put a smile on the faces of countless sick children in hospital is starting a well-earned retirement.
Alfie the pug has spent eight-and-ahalf years with charity Pets as Therapy UK and been a familiar and welcome sight in Royal Manchester Children's Hospital for more than seven years.
