POLICE are hunting a suspect after a man was left with life-changing injuries’ when he was knocked down by a car.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the incident on Brinnington Road, near the junction with Yates Street, in Stockport. Police were called to reports of concern for the welfare of aman’
It is believed he was struck by a car at around 8.20pm on Monday. He was rushed to hospital from the scene while a cordon was put in place on the street.
One man was arrested at the scene SAPS on suspicion of going equipped to commit robbery, police said. Another man is believed to have fled the scene in acar.
Police are now trying to track down this suspect. A car which matched the description of the one that fled the scene has been seized.
