A GIRL accused of Brianna Ghey’s murder told her boyfriend that ‘the police will catch the person who did it’.
Girl X’s boyfriend appeared to have known Brianna and told his partner that he was ‘a bit depressed’ after hearing of her death.
She told him: “I’m so sorry, it’s going to be okay. I’m here for you baby xx.”
Her boyfriend, referred to as Boy O in press reporting of the trial, replied: “No one deserves that,” he said.
Girl X replied: “I know it’s so f***** up.” She also told him: “It’s gonna be okay baby. The police will catch the person who did it xx.”
Jurors at Manchester Crown Court have heard that Brianna, 16, was found by dog walkers in Culcheth Linear Park on Saturday, February 11. She had been stabbed 28 times to the head, neck, back and chest.
