UNITED are one step closer to ending their five-season trophy drought after booking their place in the semi-finals of the League Cup on Tuesday.
An Antony curler and a double from the in-form Marcus Rashford saw the Reds to a 3-0 victory over Charlton in the quarter-finals, meaning they have reached the last four of the competition for the third time in six seasons.
However, United have not managed to clasp hands on the trophy since 2017 during Jose Mourinho's tenure. Months later, they lifted the Europa League but have not touched silverware since.
So this week's success has got fans dreaming of ending this barren run and Diogo Dalot admitted it's an aim the team should be striving towards.
