SALFORD'S Chapel Street has been something of a development hotspot in recent years with blocks and flats springing up and a thriving food and drink scene.
Yet hidden away in a museum at the end of the road is a very different street to the one outside.
Overlooking Peel Park on the Crescent is the magnificent redbrick Salford Museum and Art Gallery. It houses an impressive collection of paintings, sculptures and artwork in spacious galleries.
Among the exhibitions is Lark Hill Place, an authentic time-machine recreation of a Victorian street. It features original shop fronts and objects which immerse you in daily life in Salford all those years ago.
