262 Mercury Drug branches resume DSWD guarantee letter acceptance

Qualified beneficiaries of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program may again use Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-issued guarantee letters (GLs) to buy medicines and other medical supplies in 262 branches of Mercury Drug starting June 22.
DSWD Assistant Secretary and spokesperson Irene Dumlao said the resumption is intended to make it easier for beneficiaries to access medicines without having to go through additional reimbursement or cash-out processes.
