L-G Saxena gives appointment letters to 629 new govt officials

In a move to bolster employment and address staffing gaps in various departments of Delhi government, Lt.Governor of Delhi, V.K. Saxena, distributed 629 appointment letters to newly recruited government employees at a ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on Thursday.

The event, organised by the Services Department of the Government of NCT of Delhi, marked the fifth such function this year.

The recruits will join various departments across Delhi, Including the Directorate of Education, Delhi Transport Corporation, and Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board. Among them are a notable number of women, individuals with disabilities, and candidates from reserved categories.

“This event is part of our ongoing effort to fill vacant positions and enhance public service delivery, all backlog vacancies have also been disposed off and the results for the exams conducted till March 2024 have been declared,” Lt. Governor Saxena said. He emphasised the importance of dedication and responsibility in government roles, stating, “No post is too small or too big. What matters is the commitment and sincerity you bring to your job. Government service is an opportunity to contribute to the nation’s progress.”
