The release was a result of the Indian embassy in Tehran's persistent negotiations with the Iranian government.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has been actively communicating with Iranian officials to facilitate the freedom of the remaining Indian crew.
Joseph, who hails from Thrissur in Kerala, arrived at Cochin International Airport in the afternoon. The MEA's statement highlighted the collaborative efforts between the Indian mission and Iran that led to Joseph's safe return. She was welcomed by the regional passport officer upon arrival.
