They closed off the block of Broad and Dauphin streets in North Philly on October 8, 2022. Included bigname sponsors like Temple, Black Voters Matter, and Penn Medicine in attendance; they provided health services and resources for the community to which they otherwise may not have had access. So many free health resources, vendors, live music, fun activities, and giveaways!!
The block party was reminiscent of the times when we all could get together, have fun and watch the youth shine. I loved seeing the dance battles, the youth playing basketball, and lots of joy. I miss those times but am grateful to IDAAY for hosting an event that not only helped families with health information but free food, smoothies, haircuts, blood pressure screenings, motivational speakers, and more. IDAAY is making a difference daily in the lives of those in the North Philadelphia area.
It was a great sunny day as 2300 Block of N. Broad Street was filled with lots of people anticipating the performances by some of the most talented artists to hit the stage.
