Lord, We Thank You For Always Hearing And Answering Our Prayers. Amen.
- Reverend Dr. Rocky Brown, 3rd wmrocbe@ scoopusamedia.com
Prayerful

We rise today with prayerful minds and hearts, thanking GOD for always hearing and answering our prayers.

You see, in the African-American community, prayer has always been an important factor and one of the things that got us through the trials and tribulations of being Black in America. Our slave ancestors used to sing: "I went down to the river to pray, my soul got happy, so I stayed all day." Now we know being a slave, you didn't stay down the river praying all day because master would have had a fit. No, that was a way of them saying that praying and talking with GOD in the midst of their condition made them feel blessed and happy to be alive.

Pray for a Grieving Family

Pray for a Grieving Family

A friend in my hometown was once really going through a difficult time in her life. She had lost her son because he was caught in the crossfire of a shooting and died. Then, on the day of her son's repast, his four-year-old son, her grandson, was hit by a truck and died. This mother, these grandparents, these relatives, this family, had been shaken to the core. I'm sure their faith was shattered; their hearts were beyond broken, and their trust in God was on the brink. What can we do as humans to make them feel less pain and better? How do we minister to them? What should we do? What should we say? When and how shall we say it?
