Project 2025. We keep hearing the words Project 2025, but what do we really know about it? Here’s what I’ve heard.

So What's Project 2025

In short, it’s a plan devised by some Republicans to basically turn the United States upside down in terms of progress in civil and human rights. A lot of laws that were written to protect everyday citizens would be reversed. The education system, as we know it today, would be dismantled.

Project 2025 sounds scary at best to me and decimating at worst, like a nuclear bomb on the rules of law for the United States of America and our Constitution. Project 2025, from where I sit, would roll back much of the good things that have been accomplished over the last seventy-five years or so to get America to the point where we are, today. We are far from perfect, but to agree to Project 2025, I don’t think so.

Here are some facts on what Project 2025 is.

A broad coalition of over 100 conservative organizations has come together to form the project pillars for Project 2025.

Project 2025, organized by The Heritage Foundation, is a movement-wide effort guided by the conservative cause to address and reform the so-called failings of big government and an undemocratic administrative state. The opinions of Project 2025 and The Heritage Foundation do not necessarily represent the opinions of every one of its advisory board partners.

This coalition that makes up the people who created Project 2025 are Donald Trump supporters--to be very clear. They say they want to ensure a successful administration begins in January 2025, should Donald Trump pull off a victory in the November 5, 2024 general election. With the right conservative policy recommendations and properly vetted and trained personnel to implement them, they say they plan to “take back our government.”
