BORIS Johnson will unveil a “bombshell” dossier that will clear him of misleading Parliament over Partygate, his allies say.
The evidence – being finalised by his legal team – reportedly includes messages Mr Johnson received just before he addressed the Commons from advisers saying that no lockdown rules had been broken in Downing Street.
A source said: “His case is that he told Parliament what he believed to be true at the time. There is documentary evidence which will show that he was advised to say what he said.”
He will provide the statement to the Privileges Committee in a televised hearing on Wednesday while battling to save his political career.
